President Obama won't release Bin Laden photos

We kinda figured.

U.S. President, Barack Obama has decided that he will not release the ultra-gory photos of Osama Bin Laden's bloody, dead face to the public. (Good choice.)

White House Defense Secretary Robert Gates, along with Hillary Clinton advised Obama about concerns that releasing the photos of the dead terrorist could prompt a backlash against the United States.

"The risks of release outweigh the benefits" Obama told 60 Minutes adding, "Conspiracy theorists around the world will just claim the photos are doctored anyway, and there is a real risk that releasing the photos will only serve to inflame public opinion in the Middle East. Imagine how the American people would react if al-Qaida killed one of our troops or military leaders, and put photos of the body on the internet."

The government and CIA obtained information on Bin Laden's location, last year and began the mission to finally kill Bin Laden, last week. The mission was done succesfully, on Sunday when Bin Laden was located in Pakistan, and was shot twice in the head by U.S. military.

"Osama bin Laden is not a trophy -- he is dead and let's now focus on continuing the fight until al-Qaida has been eliminated."

According to a TMZ poll, 51% of voters want the photos to be released to the public, while 41% don't, based on 118,235 votes.

What do you think?

By the way, any photos released on the internet as of May 4th, 2011 that are claiming to be photos of the dead terrorist are fake.
