Why "So Random!" will be cancelled
When Demi Lovato announced she was quitting Sonny with a Chance, Disney Channel scrambled to turn the show-within-a-show 'So Random!' into it's own show. After nearly six months of production, the new series premiered on June 5, 2011. With six episodes aired already, and a seventh episode set to air this Sunday, views and ratings have already plummeted. The most recent episode, which aired on July 17 went as low as just 2.7 million views. This was an all-time low for the series, and we're only six episodes in. We can easily tell that this series won't be back for a second season. Other shows that have been cancelled on Disney, like JONAS L.A. for example, had an all-time low of 2.8 million, which is still 100,000 more than the all time low for So Random!. Plus, despite the fact that no one's watching the show, it's just an unfunny show. Other critics have said it, and I'll say it, too: Without Demi, the show is nothing. The show also costs a lot of money to produce, considering only 13 episodes were ordered for the first season, and it must cost an awful lot of money to get stars like Cody Simpson, Greyson Chance, Tony Hawk, and Selena Gomez to guest star. If nobody's watching, the ratings are down, and the production costs are up, than a cancellation is almost unavoidable. It won't be any more than 2 months before Disney pulls the plug on the show. And that's not a so random estimate.

Amy Winehouse Autopsy Inconclusive
It could be several more weeks before we find out the cause of Amy Winehouse's death. Police announced today that yesterday's initial autopsy was inconclusive, and additional toxicology tests were needed. According to The Assosciated Press, those toxicology screens could take two to four weeks to complete. Winehouse was found dead in bed at her Camden, England apartment on Saturday afternoon, and initial reports indicate that no drugs were found on the flat. Winehouse attended a doctor's appointment on Friday, and the doctor found no problems and was happy with her condition, but she was dead hours later. Amy had been reportedly been working on her third album at the time of her death, and she had supposedly recorded several new songs; songs that may never be heard. Winehouse's funeral has been scheduled for tomorrow.

"Cyrus" Review
Today, we're reviewing the newest film to hit DVD and Blu-Ray, Cyrus.
Thiscomedy-drama film which stars John C. Reilly, Jonah Hill, and Marisa Tomei follows an interesting-made-boring plot about 2 men: a boyfriend and a son, trying to win a woman's affection. Although the film does include some kind-of-good performances, the acting is so covered up with stupidness, it's gotten to a point where we forgot that there are actually a-list actors in this movie. Blantly unfunny, and stupidly boring, the film is annoying and unhonest, and seems like an actual funny short film that has been stretched out so much that we barely even remember what the plot was about, by the time the credits roll. This film doesn't meet it's full potential, and seems like much more of a drama film than a comedy film. The only thing funny about this movie is how bad it was.

"Mr. Popper's Penguins" Review
Today, we are reviewing the newest Jim Carrey film to hit theatres, Mr. Popper's Penguins.
The family comedy film, which stars Jim Carrey, Carla Gugino, Madeline Carroll, Maxwell Perry Cotton, and Ophelia Lovibond follows the story of Tom Popper, a divorced realtor who's dead father sends six penguins to his New York apartment. Tom plans to send the penguins to the zoo, but when his children fall in love with him, and him, his kids, and his ex-wife begin reconnecting because of the penguins, he decides to turn his apartment into a home for the penguins.
With a charming plot and some good performances, the film is good for all audiences - but that doesn't hide the fact that the film is thoroughly predictable, but, it's a family comedy movie - and that's exactly what they gave us: family comedy, but not much else.

"Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2" Review
Today, we are reviewing "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2", the eighth and final film in the record-breaking film series.
This epic fantasy film, directed by David Yates and produced by David Heyman, David Barron, and J.K. Rowling continues Harry, Ron, and Hermione's quest to bring down Lord Voldemort, once and for all.
This 130-minute-long film stars Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Emma Watson and is packed full of incredible special effects and captivating acting, bringing the hit series to a spectacular, spell-binding close.
With dazzling visual effects, powerful acting, and incredibly thrilling, Deathly Hallows Part 2 is without a doubt the best installment in the series. This film is brushed with gorgeous tones and includes a terrifying showdown. This is iconic, monumental cinema, and those epic 3D effects remind us why we love going to the movies in the first place. Director David Yates brings the franchise to a genuinely amazing ending, and mark my words - Part 2 will become the most discussed and praised film of the year. The entire cast and crew brings the ground-breaking saga to a truly magical ending.

"Insidious" Review
Today, we are reviewing "Insidious" which is from the creators of "SAW" and "Paranormal Activity".
This supernatural horror film, directed by James Wan (director of the 'SAW' series) and produced by Oren Peli (director/producer of the 'Paranormal Activity' series) focuses on - well, it's complicated. Basically, a family of five moves into a new home, one of the kids slips into 'a coma' after falling from a ladder and hitting his head, but the parents soon discover that he is not in a coma, but he has left his body (astral projection/out of body of experience) and has been taken to 'the further' and a demon is trying to take over his body, so that the demon can cause pain to others.
This 100 minute long movie stars Patrick Wilson, Rose Byrne, Ty Simpkins, and Lin Shaye. The film had ourselves covering our eyes at some points, but also giggling over parts of the film that weren't very good. With kind-of good acting, some pretty cool special effects, some jumpy sound effects, and a well-thought-out plot, the film still doesn't seem to meet it's full potential. Granted, any movie-goers will get what they bargained for.
RATINGS:

Demi Lovato "Skyscraper" Review
Today we are reviewing Demi Lovato's new single off her upcoming third studio album. The song is called Skyscraper and was released, yesterday.
So, the song is just over 3 and a half minutes long, and tells a story of self-empowerment and redemption, with truly emotional lyrics such as 'Do you have to make me feel like there's nothing left of me' and 'Would it make you feel better to watch me while I bleed', and then picks up with very powerful, inspirational words including 'All my windows are broken but I'm standing on my feet' and 'It's a long way down but I'm closer to the clouds up here'.
The song starts off slow, and builds to a strong, upbeat climax, marking the ending of a vocal masterpiece. Mainstream tunes have been packed with songs about self-empowerment, lately, but Lovato has been the only artist yet to bring the theme to such a personal, intimate level.
'Skyscraper' is truly an amazing, emotional comeback for the star, and Lovato couldn't have done any better on the track. The song is without a doubt the best song from the singer yet, and the best song we've heard in sometime.
RATINGS:
Demi's Vocals: 10/10
Background Music: 9.5/10
Lyrics: 9.5/10

'All My Children', 'One Life to Live' live on... the internet.
All My Children and One Life to Live, the ABC soap operas that were slated for cancellation have found new life on the internet, the network said Thursday.
ABC, which is owned by The Walt Disney Company announced today that it has licensed it's legendary soap operas to to Prospect Park, a production company that plans to distribute the 40-year-old shows over the Web, and internet-connected televisions. The deal has given Prospect Park the rights to the 2 shows more than a decade, and will earn Disney millions of dollars a year, as long as the show is still being produced.
ABC first announced they had cancelled the shows, back in April due to low ratings. The final televised episode of One Life to Live will air on January 20, 2012, and the final televised episode of All My Children will air on September 23, 2011. The shows currently air for one hour, Mondays through Fridays, and Prospect says they plan to air the series at the same format and length, and they are just beginning the process of meeting with actors and other people involved with the shows to see if they will stay on board.
This move has received some negativity from fans and viewers, with people saying the internet screening of the episodes will would exclude viewers who don't use the internet or don't own a computer. Disney nor Prospect Park has commented on these claims.
